Terminological Data Work Group
Objectives and Deadlines
TEI AI7 P1
- Reformulate this list of objectives.
- Survey and report on usage and structure of existing
terminological data formats (both for term banks and for
term-file management systems) and the requirements for interchange
and local work on terminological data.
This work should use and incorporate the work done on this topic
under the project Eurotra VII.
- Draft specific recommendations for the tagging of files of
terminological data for interchange; this should take the form
of a specific list of proposed tags with documentation of their
intended usage and a description of their structural relationships.
An SGML document type declaration is optional, but should be
produced if possible.
- Provide several concrete examples of the tagging of (real)
terminological data in the format recommended.
- If possible, demonstrate the feasibility of translation between
existing term-file structures and the format recommended by this
work group.
- Respond to comments routed to this work group by the editors.
