Summary

The pilot project has investigated the use of emerging technical capacities for text/image comparison and new music-recognition technologies for the creation of an Online Chopin Variorum Edition. The project's primary scholarly goal has been to facilitate and enhance comparative analysis of three categories of source material: manuscripts, first impressions of the first editions, and later impressions of the first editions.
