The main venue for the 2009 Conference and Members’ Meeting of the TEI Consortium will be the Gallery of the Hatcher Graduate Library. This recently renovated multipurpose space, just off the building’s main (north) lobby, provides a venue for special events, symposia, and exhibits and provides additional study space for users of the library. Some meeting events will be held elsewhere in the Hatcher Graduate Library or the adjacent Shapiro Library.

The Hatcher Graduate Library, noted for its architectural features, is located at the heart of Central Campus, at the center of the Diag, the diagonal path bisecting the university’s original square 40 acres (16 hectares) of land. It is the largest single library building of the University Library, which is consistently ranked among the top 10 research libraries in North America and whose facilities are open to the public. Public workstations are available for accessing licensed electronic resources.
