Results of TEI-C Elections 2026

The TEI Consortium is pleased to announce the results of the TEI-C annual elections for Technical Council and Board of Directors. These were announced last week at the TEI-C annual general meeting at the TEI2026 conference in Vancouver, Canada. 

All members of the TEI-C Consortium are able to vote in the TEI-C elections for Board of Directors and Technical Council.

There were three people standing for the two open positions on the Board of Directors. Those accepting the nomination were Gimena del Rio Riande, Torsten Roeder, and Christine Ruotolo. Torsten Roeder was successfully elected, but stepped aside. Those successfully elected to Board of Directors were: Gimena del Rio Riande and Christine Ruotolo. 

We had eleven people standing for the four open positions on the Technical Council. Those accepting the nomination were: Syd Bauman, Roman Bleier, Selina Galka, Dario Kampkaspar, Chiara Martignano, Elsa Pereira, Ariane Pinche, Torsten Roeder, Joey Takeda, Raffaele Viglianti, and Yifan Wang. Those successfully re-elected were: Syd Bauman, Torsten Roeder, Joey Takeda, and Raffaele Viglianti. 

Members of both the Board of Directors and Technical Council are elected for three-year terms. 

We would like to thank everyone who nominated someone, those that stood for election, and those that voted for ensuring that we continue to have a thriving membership community. Even if you were not elected this year or your desired person was not elected, please do continue to nominate, stand, and vote in future years.
